What Every Bride and Groom Need to Know About Dip and Kiss Photos!
Few things are as reminiscent of wedding romance as a perfectly executed dip and kiss photo on the North or South shores of Long Island! It’s okay if the dip and kiss isn’t your cup of tea. As a considerate Long Island wedding photographer, I respect every bride and groom’s wishes, taste, and comfort level. However, once you learn how easy the dip and kiss is, you might never want to stop. Seriously, one time I posed a dip and kiss, and then went to pick up a pepperoni pizza, came back a half hour later, and the couple were still kissing. That or they were pranking me!
7 Steps on How to Dip and Kiss Your New Bride or Groom
First have your new bride or groom sign a consent and indemnity agreement.
Keep in mind, that wedding shoes can be difficult when standing on many surfaces.
The dipper should put one foot behind the person being dipped. For photography, that side should be furthest from the camera.
Next, the dipper should put their hands around the bride’s waist so she can feel comfortable bending backward.
Held properly, the bride can now dip backward safely.
All systems “Go!” the dipper can plant a big wet smooch.
Bonus dipping points if the bride is holding her bouquet downward with the hand closest to the camera.
Be sure to practice the dip and kiss several times per day on the year leading up to your wedding!

“Dan Wagner was the best money spent on our wedding. He was nice, professional and did a great job. He took great candid photos—which I love. Not only did we get every picture he took, but the photos were full size and without any writing on them, and they arrived just a few days after we came back home from our honeymoon. We got to choose many pictures for our album. Because everything was digital, he e-mailed me exactly what the layout of the album would be before it was printed, and I was able to make changes. Our album was the nicest I have seen, and everyone who has seen it wishes they had hired him.”
