When you hire Dan Wagner to photograph your wedding, you get me!

Most of the couples I work with prefer a non-intrusive approach to wedding photography. They want to play more and pose less. Having second photographers, assistants, and multiple videographers scurrying around dressed in black is not their idea of romance! That’s why I work alone, and dress like a wedding guest, and not like an undertaker.

Working solo I’m able to capture those natural, emotional, photojournalistic moments that let you and your spouse see you as you see yourselves—beautiful, in love, and having one of the best days of your lives.

Even though I usually photographing weddings solo, I’m happy to work alongside a collaborative videographer. My only request is that couples not hire a zap photographer from their DJ—as they ruin more shots than they create.

Within a week of your wedding, you will receive a downloadable link to your photos. Each photo jpeg file will be named with the couple’s initials, wedding date, and come in two separate folders labeled high- and low-resolution (for social media). Every photo is color-corrected, and adjusted for optimal exposure, saturation, and other criteria.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

When I photograph a wedding, I imagine the sense of belonging, security, and love your future children will feel when they look at your wedding photos. I’ve actually had the privilege of seeing this with my own eyes when I shoot family photos for wedding couples I photographed years earlier. It’s a great feeling, and is part of why I do what I do!

My Instagram

“My friend recommended Dan to my husband and I, and we could not have been happier. Dan is calm, cool, and professional. I have a large Italian family, and my husband has a large Irish family. Dan was able to gather all of us for pictures, followed lists we had previously prepared, and did not miss one minute of our special day.”
