Engaged couples planning a wedding should put the Crescent Beach Club on their top ten list of best places to get married on Long Island. Located in Bayville, NY, the Crescent Beach Club features a beautiful sandy beach that’s perfect for wedding ceremonies, and an ideal spot for guests to smoke cigars and enjoy the night air. As a photographer, the Crescent Beach Club is on my own top ten list of best places for Long Island wedding photography.

The seaside-facing side of the Crescent Beach Club offers spectacular views of the Long Island Sound. There are three levels—the top two have balconies for wedding guests to mingle and take photos, and the bottom level opens onto a well-groomed beach. During the wedding season, the club decorates the beach area with garden furniture and plantings—even palm trees!

On the western side of the Crescent Beach Club are beautiful garden areas for photography that lead from the beach to the land-facing side of club. These areas are a perfect spot for taking a break from the summer sun, and offer added variety for creating wedding photos. So no matter what time of day, you always have great spots to relax and take photos.

Wedding Disaster at the Crescent Beach Club Averted!

I apologize for the clickbait headline, but it has a very happy ending. Years ago while photographing a wedding at the Crescent Beach Club, a huge storm rolled through the Long Island Sound, knocking out the electric power on the way. From the safety of the darkened Grand Ballroom, wedding guests enjoyed the spectacular lightning strikes over the water. Fortunately, the storm lasted less than half an hour. Even better, the Crescent Beach Club’s generators quickly restored power. The takeaway for anyone planning a Long Island wedding is that you can depend on the Crescent Beach Club’s staff to always have your back. Kudos to them!

My friend recommended Dan to my husband and I, and we could not have been happier. Dan is calm, cool, and professional. I have a large Italian Family, and my husband has a large Irish Family. Dan was able to gather all of us for pictures, followed lists we had previously prepared, and did not miss one minute of our special day.”
