Should I Get Married at the Fox Hollow on Long Island?

As a wedding photographer, when couples ask ask me if they should get married at the Fox Hollow, I always reply, “yes!” The main reason I recommend the Fox Hollow is because all my experiences there have been great. Just look at the photo of Nicole and George as they joyfully enter the ballroom. One of Fox Hollow’s superpowers is precision organization—the place runs like a well-oiled clock.

Outdoor areas for photography are scheduled in advance, and available as promised. This makes getting bridal party, couples, and family photos an easy and enjoyable experience for all. During photo sessions the bridal attendant and servers make sure food and drinks are available. They’re also happy to provide chairs as needed.

Some couples are understandably concerned about venues like the Fox Hollow that have multiple weddings going on at the same time. That’s why I began this article expressing admiration for the Fox Hollow staff’s organizational skills. Using wireless headsets and other communication gear, the staff are adept at preventing weddings from overlapping.

Thankfully, it’s extremely rare for brides, grooms, and guests to see people from other weddings. In my photographer capacity, I follow the Fox Hollow “guidebook,” by always asking the staff to let me know when it’s okay to shoot in different areas of the venue. Fortunately, there are lots of great spots to shoot. Better yet, the multiple garden areas are all well-tended, and frequently updated—there’s always something to inspire me.
